History of Fleet Street Publications
FSP publish ideas - useful ideas.
Ideas, information and opinions that make people more independent financially, physically and intellectually.
Fleet Street Publications South Africa is an investment, lifestyle and business publisher, and is a wholly owned subsidiary of Fleet Street Publications UK and Agora Inc in the USA.
Agora Publishing has been in existence for over 30 years and publishes hundreds of books and investment newsletters and reaches over a million readers. Agora has a footprint worldwide - from Nicaragua and Argentina to Europe and South Africa.
The Agora group also has a joint venture with VNR - a specialist publisher of business to business publications and partworks focusing on business economics.
The story of Fleet Street Publications South Africa began in 1999 when Bill Bonner, owner and founder of Agora and David Gibson, former Managing Director of Fleet Street Publications in the UK decided the time was ripe to open up an office on the tip of Africa.
In just 8 years, the South African office has grown its subscriber base to over 100 000 readers. Our recipe for success has been to replicate the US and German business model, publishing a range of consumer newsletter titles covering finance, investment, lifestyle and health as well as business handbooks. Our readers range from mature private investors through to the novice investor, individuals who are interested in natural health or who are looking to improve all aspects of their life, from their careers right through to their personal financial situations as well as entrepreneurs seeking ideas for new business opportunities.
On the business side, a high percentage of our readers are owners, directors or managers in the field of finance (tax and Vat), labour law, work safety and HR operating within small, micro and medium sized companies (SMMEs).
All our newsletters and handbooks contain independent, unbiased information. Our writers are experts in their field - from investment analysts and portfolio managers to tax and labour lawyers. Our in-house team of editors are able to take often highly complex legal or investment advice and produce publications that can be read, understood and actioned by a layperson without the need to consult with high priced lawyers, brokers or consultants.
