Health and Safety Bulletin Archive February 2009

We recently had a very interesting question from Sharon Nadarajan, one of our subscribers, and I’ve decided to share it (and the answer) with you all…Am I allowed to let my employees sleep on company premises? If I am, what am I obliged to provide?

You should replace PPE in correlation to the number of times your employees use it (actually worn in the hazardous area), the level of exposure (cartridges are replaced more often in a situation where the concentration of fumes is high than in a situation where the concentration is low), and the condition of the physical work environment (cleanliness, dust levels etc.).
