Follow this effective toning exercise programme for amazing results...

1. Fast-paced walk
A fast-paced walk or jog, three times per week, will get your heart rate up and boost your metabolism. It's a great all-rounder toning exercise.

2. Chair squats
This is one of the most beneficial exercises for calves, thighs and buttocks. Stand in front of a chair with your back towards it. Then slowly sit down in the chair, to finally return to the standing position but with your legs not totally extended. Repeat as often as you can, everyday, increasing the number of squats you do as your muscles become more supple.

3. Pedal crunches
Lie flat on the floor with your lower back pressed to the ground. Hold the sides of your head with your hands. Then bring your knees up to about a 45 degree angle and slowly go through a bicycle pedal motion. Take your left elbow to your right knee, then your right elbow to your left knee. Keep even, relaxed breathing throughout. Repeat as many times as you can.

4. One arm tricep push ups
Lie on the floor on your left side with your knees slightly bent. Then place your right hand on the floor and push your upper body off the ground. Repeat as many times as you can.
