Dear reader,

‘Tis the season for strikes, it seems. Not a week has passed recently without some industry embarking on strike action, whether it’s for its own issues, or in sympathy for another trade union or industry!

While I don’t dispute that all recent grievances are not without foundation, I’m sure the CCMA is thoroughly exhausted!

Do you want to save R27 348.60?

Don’t forget the special offer to FSP subscribers to attend the Lynda Gratton and Dave Ulrich 2009 event! You can win the chance to attend the seminar for free. All you have to do is send us an email (with your necessary contact details) by the 14th of August to labour@fsp.co.za. Remember to say “FSP Ticket Giveaway” in the subject line. Yours could be the lucky name we draw on the 14th!

I for one am looking forward to next week’s public holiday. It’s always good to be a woman but on Women’s Day it’s great!

Yours sincerely,

Lucelle Buchler
