It’s the fastest way to your boss’s heart and the most essential element of any home business...
Getting new customers.
I don’t need to tell you – no business will survive without a constant stream of new customers.
So, whether you want to gather some ammunition to negotiate a salary increase...
Or you want to grow your own business’s profit potential, knowing how to get them is key.
So, let’s not waste a moment and look at the top 10 ways to get new customers...
1. Squeeze Pages
This is a web page dedicated to collecting email addresses. If you or your business aren’t emailing your customers yet, stop right now and concentrate all your efforts on doing so – it will transform your business – that's a fact.
You should look to offer a free gift or report of some kind in return for the potential customer entering their email address.
2. Co-registration
This is when you place a sign-up for your business on the website or in a newsletter of a person or company doing a similar thing to yourself.
You should always offer them a cut of any profits you make from any new customers you generate through this method.
A key quote I always recall from MaryEllen Tribby, Former-CEO of Early to Rise in the US – “There are no competitors in business, only new partners.” It’s an important idea to remember.
3. Affiliates and Joint Ventures
This concept is similar to that of co-registration but on a more equal footing.
No matter how big or small a company, if they’re marketing to the same kind of customers as you, put the feelers out by sending a polite email telling them about your company and your desire to discuss a joint venture.

4. Website Home Page
The key here is to have a dynamic homepage for your website that gets people coming back.
You need to get the message of your business across and provide useful information. But to get new visitors to give their email address, you need to make sure the option is prominent.
A good idea is to put the sign up box at the TOP of the page!
5. Swaps
Once you’ve found other companies who are doing a similar thing to you, you can arrange to send an email to their existing customers.
In return you can arrange to send their email to your list of existing customers.
Don’t worry in these situations about losing your customers to competition. First off, by alerting your customers to other resources you’re helping them out, and secondly, any customers who did leave would likely never have bought a product or service from you anyway.
OK. That’s five ways to get new customers for you to think about...
Which could you start to put in place today?
Do you need to move the sign-up box on your website, or could you start researching other people in your market and emailing them to arrange a joint venture?
Pick one of the five and get to it as soon as possible. Then you can always come back to another of the techniques when the first one you choose is in effect.
