New York scientist John Czepiel studied the elusive qualities of charm and found that “charming” people who are considered “charming” have five common characteristics: Humour, passion, confidence, interest in others, and curiosity.

1. Humour: The capability to laugh about yourself and to get others to laugh tops the list of character attributes charming people have.

At a party or other social event, most people surround themselves with others who can make them laugh.  Humour is such a prized attribute because it ’s been proven to promotes  social bonding and reduces the production of stress hormones.
