-    Welcome to Christel Fouché!

Dear reader,

I promised you a good health and safety surprise, and today I’m bringing it to you.

I’m very happy to announce that Christel Fouché has agreed to come on board as Editor-in-Chief for the Health and Safety Advisor Handbook. Christel is well-known in the industry for the very high standard she sets, as well as the high quality of auditing, consulting and training she delivers. We’re very pleased to welcome her.

So, just to give you a little information about the woman who’s about to take the reins...

Some impressive qualifications

Christel is managing director of Advantage A.C.T. (Pty) Ltd and has been involved in this specialised industry for over 20 years, assisting with issues of health and safety in industry and mining. She completed her MBA in health and safety through the University of Southern Queensland, is an accredited trainer (1104 and 1105) with City & Guilds. She also received her International Certificate in Training with merit.

She’s a qualified and accredited facilitator and assessor with the ET&DP SETA. She’s also a Lead Auditor in Health & Safety, Environment & Quality (SAATCA Lead Auditor for ISO14001 and OHSAS18001). She is a Lead Tutor for Moody International/IRCA on the ISO and OHSAS standards (ISO9001, ISO14001, OHSAS18001 and ISO27001) and is the chair of the SAATCA OHSAS18001 Scheme committee.

And there’s more...

...but we don’t actually have the space in this bulletin to list all of Christel’s remarkable achievements. If you’d like more information, you’re welcome to let me know at safety@fsp.co.za. But, just from the list of her accomplishments above, I’m sure you’ll agree she’s more than qualified for the job!

What this means for your bulletin

From the next bulletin, it will be Christel who greets you from your inbox. I may pop in on occasion, but am confident I’m leaving you in safe and capable hands.

Stay safe!

Nadia Pisanti
