So much money to be made and such little time to make it.
Right?
There’s plenty of money out there.
But there’s just never enough time. Or at the very least, it’s pretty hard to find it!
This is something that many readers have asked me about, and something you need to work on.
Chances are you’re still holding down a 9-5 job.
And trying to do that AND launch a new business or
make some extra cash... well, sometimes it’s just a pity the day’s not longer.
And then there’s the family to think about.
You can’t just come home and walk straight into your office, slamming the door behind you (not if you want your family to speak to you, you don’t!)
So how do you get more done in less time? Here are a few techniques you can use everyday...
* Lower your standards – be lazier! There’s nothing more frustrating than getting to the end of an exhausting day feeling you’ve achieved next to nothing and most of the mountain still has to be climbed.
So only include things on your to do list you know you can achieve. You might even want be a little lazier and include less. Then when you’ve ticked everything off, you’ll feel you’ve achieved a decent amount.
When you come to your next list you’ll tackle it with more enthusiasm and find yourself more productive... you’ll take on more jobs and get more done in less time...
* Make a list – sounds simple, doesn’t it? Because it is. So start every working day by making a list of what you want to achieve. And keep it realistic.
* Get your priorities in order – what jobs are crucial and which ones can wait? Writing a business proposal is a lot more important than deleting emails from your inbox. Mark each item on your list from 1 to 3, with 1 being crucial and 3 being non-urgent.
* Be strict – if you’re anything like me there are things you want to do, but never have. I call these ‘nice ideas’ because with all the time in the world they’ll never happen. So if there’s a bit of mail or an email months old that you were going to do something with, but haven’t – get rid of it.
It’ll distract you from focusing on the stuff that really needs doing.
Give these ideas a go and see for yourself what a difference they make.
