Why you should spend MORE time in your bedroom...
Health Bytes | 1 September, 2009 | Hot Topics:

Dear Healthy Friend,
Our lifestyles are busy, our agendas hectic. So it's no surprise that infertility is so rife... that our lust and desire is all but lost. But what if I told you that spending more time in your bedroom could actually increase your fertility and libido.
It's true. And Dr Douglass is about to reveal the secret...
In the name of good health,

P.S There's a lot of hoo-ha about testosterone supplements for men. Today Dr Wright tells us what you must know about natural replacements of this vital male hormone.
Prescription for passion

There are all manner of infertility treatments out there, but here's a new one I know my male readers, especially, will appreciate: Make love more often.
That's right, a study in Australia found that men whose sperm has DNA damage could actually decrease this damage by making love every day for a week.
For years experts suspected that damaged DNA in sperm is a contributing factor in infertility. The question was how to repair the damage.
According to the Australian study results, 81% of the men who followed this once-a-day passion prescription (happily, no doubt) experienced a 12% decrease in damaged sperm.
The doctor who led this study now tells couples looking for fertility tips to, first and foremost, spend more time in the bedroom.
There's no proof yet that this "new method" will result in more successful conceptions, but I'm sure there will be few complaints about the advice.
Could testosterone replacement cause cancer?
Q: I'm confused about hormone replacement therapy for men. I see that you recommend testosterone replacement, but I've seen other sources that warn against it, saying that supplementing with testosterone could cause prostate cancer. What is the real story?
Dr. Wright: Testosterone doesn't cause prostate cancer all by itself. If it did, there would be an epidemic of prostate cancer in young men. But it does significantly increase the growth rate of a pre-existing cancer that doctors may not have detected yet.
If your testosterone levels are low and you decide to take testosterone - real, bio-identical testosterone, not a synthetic version - have your doctor check your PSA level before you start. Then check it again in two to three months time. If it rises more than a little in that time, you may have uncovered pre-existing prostate cancer. Check with your doctor or urologist right away and stop using testosterone until you've fully investigated the situation.
